Making art is a personal labour of love
It takes time to create a work of art, many hours in fact. I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the work evolve minute-to-minute and day-to-day. I think my brain is wired for that so the process keeps me interested all the time.
Do I have days when things don't go the way I want them to? Of course. Then I have to step back and do something else for awhile, even if that means taking the lawnmower apart or trying to figure out how to stop the squirrels from hijacking seed from the bird feeder.
Totemic Piece #1
I'm attempting a 4-tiered sculpted sheet steel piece and this is the bottom.
Here is the first rough assemble of the near-finished piece called
The Rising of the Moon.
Approximately 72" high.
